I just launched my good buddy Jonathan Pretus’ (guitar player for Cowboy Mouth) new website, built around the Word Press CMS engine.
Check it out, if you don’t mind!
Also, on the list of soon to come updates are the new website for Omega Hospital and a new logo for Second Line Paint, which I helped develop the concept for, and then our very talented illustrator dan at Design the Planet took it and ran with it.
I’m pretty excited about both.
Hey there people. I’ve got a few new updates for you. I’m really excited about these two new updates, to tell the truth, and I’m going to be adding them to my portfolio as soon as I get some free time (which isn’t a whole lot these days, unfortunately).
So, the two newest updates are a couple of sites we just launched for Design the Planet. Puglia’s Sporting Goods – www.puglias-sporting-goods.com and Wilson Marsh Equipment – www.wilsonmarshequipment.com.
Puglia’s has been around for a super long time, and it’s an honor to give them an online facelift. They haven’t had a website before and I think we’ve given them something exceptional. I used a lot of textures and imagery of the great outdoors to really convey the Southern Louisiana Outdoors feel they were going for.
When I was a kid, my family used to tailgate in front of Puglia’s, and I always loved the giant shark they had out front. I was totally stoked to do a website for them.
Wilson Marsh Equipment is an awesome company. They build these huge cranes that go out in the marshes without sinking, and to tell you the truth, I think I want the cargo buggy for camping.
They’ve been around for a long time. They’re looking to get into selling their excavators in Europe, so they needed a new website to impress executives abroad. I think we gave them something impressive.
I’ll be posting some screen shots soon.
Two degrees that is.
I finished my last final for good. That is, of course, unless I decide to go to grad school later. I just may. Maybe even New York if I can save up 60 thousand dollars.
So anyway, I’ve got some awesome updates for you guys soon.
We finished the Rauch Milliken International website, so I’m going to post that to the portfolio soon, along with some stationary packages for RMI. They’re looking pretty nice.
I’ve also got a couple of logos I’m pretty happy with to show you guys. I know you can’t wait to see them. I can’t wait to show you.
So I’m going to go drink some beer to celebrate finishing school.
Hooray, beer!
Hello boys and girls in web land. In case you were curious, you can see a couple of new things I’ve been working on at work. A few days ago we launched a couple of new sites, jeffersondoor.com and noahs-friends.org.
Jefferson Door is a door, window, moulding, cabinets, you name it, manufacturing company that has been serving the Greater New Orleans area since 1959. That’s pretty impressive, and I think their website is pretty impressive too. I designed it and built it from the bottom up, and I have to say I’m pretty happy with it. I’m also working on some buisness cards and print material for them, which I’m pretty excited about.
NOAH’s friends is a non profit that supports the New Orleans Adolescent Hospital, which cares for children with mental illnesses. They do a wonderful job, and if you’d like to support them, please donate some money on their fancy new website. I think we did a wonderful job with it. This is another I designed and built. I’m also very happy with it, and I think it’s on the top of my list of favorite sites I’ve done so far.
Additionally, I hope to have some actual pictures of the book I designed, “History With a Twist” by Joe Gendusa. I’m really happy with how that came out, and I’d like for you all to see it ASAP.
Finally, I have some stuff that I’ve been working on for myself, nolascene.com – I’m really happy with how the design is going, and I hope to post some initial screen shots soon.
Stay in touch, peeps.
so if anyone’s interested in checking them out, a couple of my newest sites went live this week.
i did the louisiana state museum’s education section
http://lsm.crt.state.la.us/education/default.asp
and also a website for some vision health care thing. i’m still not sure what it is that they do.
visionbenefitsla.com.
exciting things are happening, folks. i’ve got a few more website i’m working on right now,
NOAH’s Friends (a website for the friends of the New Orleans Adolescent Hospital – a hospital for “crazy” kids)
Bertucci Construction – they build barrier islands
Boys and Girls clubs of Southeast LA
J&J diving Co – they dive, or something.
and to top it off, the book i designed, “History w/ a Twist” should be coming out in the next few weeks. they ran a couple print proofs today, and it looks pretty nice.
